COVID-19: free live mobile-friendly visualizations for use on any website

A collection of regularly updated responsive embeddable charts and maps about the coronavirus crisis.

Thousands of journalists are using Flourish to create maps and charts about the coronavirus crisis. Our focus so far has been to support them and manage the enormous volume of traffic we are currently serving. However, many of our users have asked for help with live updating graphics, so we’ve made the following packages of maps and tables, which we are updating daily until further notice. Anyone is welcome to embed these.

Notes and caveats

  • We will improve these graphics over time in addition to updating the data, so you may see changes after they’re embedded in your site.
  • All the graphics below are based on data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, as published by Our World in Data, who are doing excellent work on this topic.
  • Numbers for confirmed/reported cases are meaningful only in a limited way since most cases have not been confirmed and most confirmed cases have recovered. Hence many of the graphics above start with a view of deaths rather than cases.
  • We plan to add more instructions in due course for how to adapt these graphics with different data – e.g. regions within a country.
  • If you want to make your own Covid graphics in Flourish, you can do this on a free Public account. Journalists can also apply for a free Flourish newsroom upgrade here.
  • We intend to add more visuals to the package so check back regularly and [follow us on Twitter](https:// twitter.com/f_l_o_u_r_i_s_h). Feedback, ideas and bug reports are extremely welcome – especially from epidemiologists and others with expertise in this topic.
