Do you love data visualization and interactive content? Are you a team player who likes solving problems? Do you want to join one of London’s hottest tech start-ups and be part of a talented and friendly team?

Flourish is an online tool for creating beautiful data graphics, presentations and other interactive content without coding. Launched in 2018, it is already being used by thousands of organizations all over the globe, from publishers to governments, agencies to corporates. In partnership with Google News Lab, we also work with many of the world’s leading news organizations.

We are seeking a bright, positive graduate to provide help and advice to our users. You’ll play a vital role in the company, becoming a product expert, and making sure existing and prospective customers are successful with Flourish.

About the role

  • Help our users. Compared to most data tools, Flourish is easy to use, but people get stuck, hit bugs, have questions or need customization. You’ll be the first point of contact for their queries. Over time you’ll become a product expert, but in the early days the rest of the team will be on hand to answer questions.

  • Help us make the product even better. You’ll use your experience working with customers, together with your own ideas and insights, to help make Flourish better and easier to use. You’ll also help with basic testing, such as checking features on different devices or with different datasets.

  • Build our community resources. We want to help Flourish users get the answers they need without having to ask us. You’ll contribute to our support resources, such as FAQs, help articles and tutorial videos. You’ll make sure useful answers are publicly available rather than hidden away in a private email chain.

  • Help us grow. We’re a startup, so everyone is responsible for the success and growth of the company. You’ll help the commercial team by flagging up potential leads and – as you pick up expertise – making exciting examples for potential and existing customers.

About you

  • You’re a quick learner, technically minded and excited by data visualisation. You think logically, like solving problems and have a good eye for detail. You may have a relevant degree, though experience with data visualisation and Flourish count too.

  • You’re positive, friendly, helpful and happy in a user-facing role. You’re an excellent communicator in written and spoken English, whether emailing non-technical customers or chatting to developers on the team. We have users all over the world, so any additional languages would be a bonus.

  • You’re well organized, proactive and know how to prioritize without being micromanaged. You’ll be happy staying on top of a busy inbox and spinning multiple plates. And you’ll thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, always finding useful ways to proactively contribute in an exciting and ambitious small company.

About us

  • Our company: Flourish is a small team combining decades of collective experience in development, data, design, visualization and journalism/publishing. We grew out of the award-winning agency Kiln. Read more about the team.

  • Our way of working: We’re a friendly and supportive group that values kindness, honesty and fun. We’re open and try new things with enthusiasm. And we’re high-momentum, focused on delivering magical products that our users love.

  • Our location: Our office in central London is an exciting place to work, with a relaxed collaborative vibe and excellent lunches on neighboring Leather Lane. Some of our staff work remotely, but for this role we’d like you to be based in the London office the majority of the time.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and holiday package, with potential for share options to give you a stake in the company’s success. The salary range for this role is from £28k to £32k depending on experience, with 30 days’ annual holiday.

  • Humane hours and flexible working culture. We’re fast paced and ambitious but we don’t work crazy “startup” hours. We value the importance of time off and flexibility.

  • Work team trips. Every year we do at least one team trip, where we have fun and think about the company’s future in a bigger-picture way.
