The Assistant helps you edit Flourish visualizations using plain-language prompts. You can ask it to make styling changes, update titles or labels, add sources, adjust layout settings, check accessibility, and suggest ways to improve your visualization.
For example, you could ask it to “make the bars blue”, “remove the legend”, or “improve contrast”. The AI-powered Assistant applies changes directly to your visualization settings, so you can see what changed and undo it if needed.
To access the Assistant, choose a template from the Flourish template chooser and open it in the editor. You’ll see the Assistant panel there.
If you’re part of a company account, your admin may need to enable AI-powered features for your organization first. You also won’t see the Assistant if AI-powered features are disabled at either the account or company level.
Please note that custom templates don’t have Assistant support yet.
No customer data is retained by AI providers. The Assistant uses AI to understand your request and apply changes in the Flourish editor, with processing handled through Canva's infrastructure and zero data retention at the provider level.
Yes. Assistant usage is based on credits, and the limit depends on your Flourish plan.
Free plans include a starter use limit, Presenter plans include a standard use limit, Publisher plans include an extended use limit, and Enterprise plans include a maximum use limit. If you’re close to running out of credits, Flourish will let you know in the Assistant panel.
